Internet Business Workshops and Instruction

It is rare to find a web design company that will help you learn how to manage and expand your web site yourself. Yet this is one of the most cost-effective and powerful skills your business can have. Artworks can help! Since the mid-1990's, I have instructed workshops and classes in Internet marketing and web site management, and I can provide independent training for businesses and organizations.

As an ajdunct instructor, I teach internet classes at College of the Siskiyous in Weed, CA. I have also conducted classes and workshops for business development organizations including , the Cascade Small Business Development Center, and the Siskiyou County Visitor's Bureau.
"I just read through all your workshop evaluations and once again- you have wowed the crowd! I appreciate that you created such a wonderful learning environment. Being there at the start of each workshop, I could feel how people were gelling and working together and I could see your enormous organization and your comfort teaching. This is also a topic that often generates unrealized expectations and it appears that you handled them well and most people got great stuff out of it. " - Nancy Swift, Executive Director. Jefferson Economic Development Institute
For small business owners, knowledge of how the Internet works is essential for maintaining a successful web site. Basic skills include web site content and design, search engine optimization and submission, active linking with directories and other web sites, and interpretation of statistics. Certainly all of these services can be purchased, but small business budgets often prohibit contracting with internet specialists to the extent needed. When the business owners themselves take an active role in promoting their web site, far greater success can be seen.

Among the subjects I teach for small businesse and organizations are:
  • Your Business on the Internet: How to plan and manage a small business web site. Instruction dedicated to help you market your business more effectively on-line, whether you already have a web site or are thinking of creating one.
  • Internet Promotion: How to increase your web site exposure. A condensed 3-to-6 hour tutorial on Internet marketing.
  • Web Publishing: How to create a beginning web site. This full semester class at College of the Siskiyous features basic html programming language and internet graphics.
  • One-on-One Site Management Consultation: How to maintain and promote your small business web site. Independent consultation for your business or organization, with hands-on instruction targeted for your unique market niche, computer programs, skills and interests.
Knowledge brings you control over your web marketing success! Classes, workshops and consultation can be scheduled as needed for your business or organization.
